Everything we know about The Mandalorian season 3 – what fans can expect in the next chapter of the Star Wars saga!

The wait is all set to come to an end on March 1 when The Mandalorian season 3 will premiere on Disney+ worldwide. The season 2 finale packaged a lot starting with Mando violating his Mandalorian code and going after Grogu to save him from Moff Gideon. We then saw the big surprise in the form of Luke Skywalker’s retun and coming to their rescue. And, Bo-Katan Kryze too expressing her displeasure at Mando winning the Darksaber after his duel with Gideon. The The Mandalorian season 2 ending went on to raise big questions regarding the next chapter of Mando in the Star Wars saga and we’re about to get answers soon enough.

GROGU’S RETURN

Although fans witnessed Grogu bidding an emotional goodbye in The Mandalorian season 2, he was seen once again in the season 3 trailer. Likewise, he and Mando also made a small and important appearance in a mini-arc in The Book of Boba Fett. We saw Mando getting expelled by his fellow Mandalorians after removing his helmet and revealing himself to Grogu and subsequently having to atone himself in a pilgrimage to Mandalore. It was at this time when he paid a visit to Luke Skywalker’s Jedi school where he got to spend time with Grogu once again, who wanted to play more than do any training. Upon being offered to choose between Yoda’s lightsaber and Mando’s beskar armor, we see the toddler jedi joining his father figure in a battle on Tattooine.

MANDALORE BOUND

The Mandalore season 3 will kick off the proceedings with Mando and Grogu heading to Mandalore where the former must do penance and redeem himself by bathing in the living waters under their mines to rejoin the Children of the Watch. We can also likely expect a big confrontation between Bo-Katan’s Nite Owls and The Watch as the female Mandalorian rebel warrior is hell-bent on getting back the Darksaber, which Mando secured in his grasp after his duel with Moff Gideon.

SURPRISE CAMEOS

Along with new characters being introduced, we can expect a few surprise cameos in The Mandalorian season 3 in the form of Sasha Banks’ Koska Reeves, who plays Bo-Katan’s lieutenant and Boba Fett’s right hand Fennec Shand, played by Ming-Na Wen. Although it wouldn’t be as big a surprise as his appearance in the season 2 finale, Luke Skywalker’s appearance once again will no doubt be a big treat. Another OG Star Wars character who could possibly be making an appearance is Ahsoka Tano, who too is expected to be seen once again after she was seen during Grogu’s training in The Book of Boba Fett and perhaps we could get a hint on her chase for fan-favorite Star Wars expanded universe Grand Admiral Thrawn. Last time the character was referenced on the show was back in season 2 and with the jedi warrior set to get her own shown later this fall, fans are keeping their fingers crossed to witness her in action once again.
