The most successful franchise in the history of world cinema, the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) kicks off its Phase 5 with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania starting today, February 17, in the United States and worldwide. The third film for the popular Marvel Comics character, Ant Man, was first introduced to the film medium with Ant-Man in 2015, with the sequel Ant-Man and the Wasp coming out in 2018. The character has since appeared in the Marvel Studios shared universe by crossing over into a couple of other big MCU films like Captain America: Civil War (2016) and Avengers: Endgame (2019).

The 31st film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, incidentally kicks-off the proceedings for the Phase 5 of the shared universe and sees Paul Rudd reprising his role as Scott Lang / Ant-Man alongside several others like Evangeline Lilly as Hope van Dyne / Wasp, with Michael Douglas as Hank Pym and Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet van Dyne coming back once again to deal with a new nemesis, Kang the Conqueror portrayed by Jonathan Majors, in the ever expanding MCU.

With Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania opening the gates to the MCU’s Phase 5, we see where the franchise will head next and also delve into introducing the future of the global blockbuster franchise.
